Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness is pretty much the first game of the franchise released in joint between a console system and a PC system. It was the first attempt in the franchise to leverage the more powerful options available in those systems and they promised a more cinematic experience for gamers. On some level it managed to accomplish this, but in others the game seemed like it failed miserably.
From a graphics perspective, TR: The Angel of Darkness does show it’s next-generation pedigree. The step from Playstation to PC and Playstation 2 is obvious. CORE Design Limited provides cinematic cut scenes, smooth menus, and the in game graphics are equally improved. This may be a Playstation 2 game, so its graphics are a touch aging, but they pay attention to detail in this game. The environments are beautiful, and they pay attention to the little details that current gamers come to expect. They push the system’s limits in order to make the game…pretty, which considering the pedigree of the game is expected.

The rest of the game follows the same old Tomb Raider formula. This time Lara is being accused of a criminal conspiracy, and thus spends the game hunted. Really the plot turns into another excuse for the game to send the player all over the world in order to find the supposedly one or two items that will clear her name. The adventuring locations are familiar, the ‘find the puzzle item’ gameplay is familiar, even the gun fighting is familiar. Even though it looks better, this is definitely a game for the fans that know what they like and just want more of it.

Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness was an exercise in enhancing graphics. Gamers were just getting used to high quality visuals, good sound, and expansive settings available on the new systems, so CORE Design Limited obvious focused on that so they could give gamers the most attractive game they possibly could. Overall, this game is now in most bargain basement bins for the console systems, and for those looking for a fix of Lara’s amazing…assets, this game might be a good purchase.

Money glitch (infinite money):
On Parisian ghetto level-walking around in different parts of the parks will respawn constantly
wads of money.

When Hanging from a ledge hold L1 and press up and Lara will do a handstand.

Backflip Grab:
Back up to a ledge and HOLD l1 and press X

Stand on the edge of a ledge and Press Triangle to crawl then press Left Analog stick Forward

Dive Into Water:
Stand on a ledge over water and Hold l1 and press X

Level select:
Pause the game, then hold L1+R2+DOWN+TRIANGE. Release the buttons, then quickly press
CIRCLE, UP, SQUARE, TRIANGLE, RIGHT, DOWN. Level select will now appear on the pause
menu. NOTE: this code allows you to retain any weapons and items you have collected over
the previous levels.

Overall, the system works, though it has a level of obscurity that can be challenging for players. When your three options are to trust what they say verbatim, openly distrust them, or flat out call them a liar, some of these interrogations can go down the wrong road very easily and all of a sudden the player is left with the frustration of a failed confrontation where they don’t know where it all went wrong.
That is the general feeling of the entire game. They mixed in some very good gameplay, and some stilted gameplay where it is obvious they were experimenting and tried to shove it out in the best way possible. It does succeed to an extent, though with the amount of hidden features and extras it is hard to figure out if you have found every component to a case. Rockstar falls into the trap of trying to stuff this game full to the brim with new technologies and gameplay, and sometimes they can miss that a lot of players may get left behind as a result.

Avoiding bad choices:
In many interviews you can get up, walk out of a building, and make the game auto save. Then, return to the interview and start it. If you make a few bad choices, return to the system’s home screen or reset the game. You will return to the auto save before the interview.

Booze bottles hint:
Cigarette butts, booze bottles, and such things are a waste of time. Their purpose is to throw you off as you investigate a crime scene.

Chase scenes hint:
-Hold [Camera Focus] while chasing a target on foot or in a car to keep an eye on your target. This makes chase scenes easier.

-When you close in on a suspect on foot, press [Tackle] repeatedly to tackle the suspect.

-During a car chase, pull up alongside a driver to have your partner fire at him. If he shoots a tire, the car will slow down while emitting sparks from one wheel. A faster way to take out a driver, however, is to slam into a rear wheel to spin the car out of control. T-boning a suspect at an intersection is another effective way to take them out.

Red Dead Redemption easter egg:
In the Silk Stock Murder, after investigating the long blood trail leading onto the roof, examine the body and find all the clues. You will return to your car. Instead of leaving, turn around and check out the alley behind you to find a trash can with a cowboy hat in it, which Red Dead Redemption players will recognize as belonging to the legendary John Marston.

Go to the intersection of Ivar Ave and Franklin Ave. Find the shopping center with a row of green trees in front of its parking lot. To the left of the store, you should see a large billboard for Capt’n Saltee potato chips. Underneath this billboard are a few dumpsters and to the right of the dumpster is the Nightmare Alley Golden Film Reel.

3. Brute Force
Go to Schrader Blvd, which is a small road in the middle of the Hollywood division. There are a few small roads that branch off Schrader Blvd. One of those roads is a dead end; follow that road to the end. You will find the see the Brute Force Golden Film Reel on the sidewalk in front of a football field.

4. The Letter
Go to Selma Ave, just east of Las Palmas Ave. There will be a row of homes with a red brick ground. Walk up the stairs of the first home on the left. Around the corner you will find The Letter Golden Film Reel.

5. Gilda
Go to the intersection of De Longpre Ave and Cahuenga Blvd. At the corner is a gas station. Behind the gas station, between the two palm trees, you will see some dumpsters. On the ground near the dumpsters is the Gilda Golden Film Reel.

6. Where The Sidewalk Ends
Go to Sunset Ave, in between El Centro Ave and Argyle Ave. There is a movie theater that is playing “The Big Sheep” and “The Lady From Shanghai”. Under the awning and behind the ticket booth is the Where The Sidewalk Ends Golden Film Reel on the floor.

7. In A Lonely Place
Go to the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and El Centro Ave. Go to the mini golf course. In the middle of the course, on the eighth tee, shaped like a circle, you will find the In A Lonely Place Golden Film Reel.

8. Sunset Boulevard
Go to the far west end of Melrose Ave. About a half a block from the end of the road is a small courtyard in-between two buildings. In front of the tree and on the ground is the Sunset Boulevard Golden Film Reel.

9. The Women In The Window
Go to the corner of Wilton Place and Lemongrove. On the southern side is a row of homes. Go to the backyard in-between the second and third building. There is a tree and picnic table and The Women In The Window Golden Film Reel is on the picnic table.

10. The Spiral Staircase
Go to the corner of Santa Monica Ave and Wilton Place. On the north-east side of the the road is a small park with a playground, field, etc. Under the tree near the bird-bath is The Spiral Staircase Golden Film Reel.

11. Odd Man Out
Go to the southern area of St. Andrews Place, near the corner of St. Andrews Place and Sunset Blvd. One unnamed road goes through a small development of around a dozens homes. Find this road, go down it and find the dark blue house. Behind this house and on the floor of the backdoor is the Odd Man Out Golden Film Reel.

12. The Night Of The Hunter
Go to the north-west end of Fountain Ave. Find the Hillside Motel. At the end of the parking lot is a swimming pool. On the ground at the far end of the poolside is The Night Of The Hunter Golden Film Reel.

13. The Narrow Margin
Go to the unnamed crossroads in-between Lemongrove Ave, Santa Monica Blvd, Hobart Blvd and Ardmore Ave. On the northwest side of the intersection, you will see a large tan colored house with red shingles. Behind this house is a pool and fountain. Under the fountain is The Narrow Margin Golden Film Reel.

14. White Heat
Go to the middle of the road on Mariposa Ave. Imagine that Lemongrove Ave kept going east. It line’s up almost exactly as to where you must stop in the middle of the road on Mariposa Ave. Once there, you will see a few apartment buildings. Find the apartment that has dark green paint on the bottom half and light green paint on the top, with dark green paint on the roof as well. Go around this apartment and walk up the stairs in the back. The White Heat Golden Film Reel is sitting on the ground on the second floor balcony.

15. Thieves’ Highway
Go to Rosewood Ave, in-between Harvard Ave and Kingsly Dr. You should be right next to a gas station and drive-in restaurant. Walk inside the restaurant to find the Thieves’ Highway Golden Film Reel on the counter in the middle.

16. Crossfire
Go to the corner of Melrose Ave and Heliotrobe Dr. You should see a billboard with Cola King on it. Behind that billboard is a warehouse and parking lot with a lot of trailers. In front of the first trailer, on the ground, is the Crossfire Golden Film Reel.

17. M
Go to the corner of Berendo St and Rosewood Ave. Find the tall three story yellow brick house. Next to that is a two story green house with an orange roof. Next to the green house is a small white house. In-between the green house and white house is a seesaw in the yard. The M Golden Film Reel is next to the seesaw.

18. The Killers
Go to 1st St, right in-between the “W” and “I” in the word “WILSHIRE” on the map. On the north side of the road they are doing construction all over the land. Go inside the building on the southeast side of the property. Inside the building that is still under construction, you will see The Killers Golden Film Reel. Note
There are many buildings that look similar, so it is easy to get lost and confused. Just make sure you go to the building that is right next to 1st St and on the southeast side of the whole property.

19. The Set-Up
Go to the intersection of 6th St and Berendo St. On the northeast side of the intersection are two red houses and a blue house in the middle. Go behind the blue house to find The Set-Up Golden Film Reel on the ground next to the backdoor.

20. The Lady From Shanghai
Go to where Council St meets 1st St. Once there, you should see a baseball field. The Lady from Shanghai Golden Film Reel is sitting on top of the pitcher’s mound.

21. Laura
Go to the unnamed road underneath the second “I” in the word “WILSHIRE” on the map. There is a park at this location. It is in-between the park and unnamed road near 2nd St. 2nd St starts on the west/left of the park and stops where the park appears and comes back on the east/right side of the park. Inside the park is a playground. Past the playground are a few picnic tables. Right next to a tree, on a picnic table, is the Laura Golden Film Reel.

22. The Third Man
Go to the street right above the “E” in the word “WILSHIRE” on the map. This road is connected to Beverly Blvd. Go to the northeast side of it, the tip, where it becomes a loopy road. Look for the large red bricked three to four story building. Behind that, there are no “real” roads, as it is the outskirts of the city. Go behind the building and look for a dirt path. Follow the dirt path up the hill and onto an overlook. In-between two benches on the hill you will see a tree. Under the tree is The Third Man Golden Film Reel.

23. The Killing
Go to the corner of 6th St and Hoover St. Look for the huge church. You can enter through the gate at a few spots, but you need to go to the southwest entrance. Just left of the front doors is a small bush. The Killing Golden Film Reel is on the ground in front of the bush.

24. Shadow Of A Doubt
There are two entrances to the airport, where you will find this Golden Film Reel. The easiest one to find is at the end of Coronando St. Go to the north-most area of the road. You will see an unmarked road that turns into the airport of the west/left. Go to that road, driving is recommended because it is a long walk. Go past the first parking lot and set of hangers. Keep going until you see two red airplanes. In-between the two red airplanes is a small hanger. Inside the small hanger, right in front of the airplane, is the Shadow Of A Doubt Golden Film Reel.

-Central West

25. Night And The City
Go to the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Alvarado St, right next to the bridge in MacArthur Park. Go down into the wate and wade all the way through to a gazebo in the middle of the pond/lake to find the Night And The City Golden Film Reel on the floor of the gazebo.

26. The Big Clock
Go to Grand View St right next to the unnamed zigzag street. Then, drive through the unnamed zigzag street all the way to the top, where you will find a white house with vines around it. The Big Clock Golden Film Reel is on the front step.

27. Murder, My Sweet
Go to the corner of Burlington Ave and 9th St. Go down the alley towards Beacon St to the northeast. Once you reach the courtyard area, go down the steps to find a underground parking lot. Right next to the tree in the middle of the parking lot is the Murder My Sweet Golden Film Reel.

28. The Naked City
Go to the corner of Beverly Blvd and Bonnie Brae St. On the southwest side of the intersection you can see a small corner store. The next house down is a blue and white house with a wrap-around porch. Go on the porch and follow it to the right side of the house to find The Naked City Golden Film Reel on the porch.

29. Sweet Smell Of Success
Go to the corner of Union and 3rd St, where there is a whole block of unnamed roads. Go to the northwest corner of this block to see a large gaping hole in the ground that is under construction. On the other side of the hole is some equipment and the Sweet Smell Of Success Golden Film Reel on the ground in front of it.

30. Rififi
Go to the unnamed block at the corner of Union and 6th St. On the middle of the east sidewalk is a sky blue house with white on it. The Rififi Golden Film Reel is on the front porch.

31. This Gun For Hire
Go to the bridge that connects Beverly Blvd, Glendale Blvd, 1st St., 2nd St. and Lucas Ave at the northwest side of Central. On the north side of the bridge is some construction. Go down to it and find the metal pipes that are constructed as a small structure. Walk into the structure to find the This Gun For Hire Golden Film Reel.

32. Mildred Pierce
This Golden Film Reel is under the ground on the train track. There are two entrances; the easiest one is at the corner of Lucas Ave and Beverly Blvd. Drive your car into the tunnel on the train tracks for about 30 seconds. There will be a small turn off area directly into the wall. Go into this area, which is about halfway through the whole tunnel, to find the Mildred Pierce Golden Film Reel on the floor.

33. The Big Carnival
Go to the corner of 9th St and Figueroa St. Walk pass the dress shop and through the small parking lot towards a two story white and grey house. The Big Carnival Golden Film Reel is on the front doorstep of the house, which is next to a pink building and a three story green building.

34. Out Of The Past
Go the farthest north possible on Hill St. There should be an open trolley station. Inside the station, in the middle of the back room, is the Out Of The Past Golden Film Reel.

-Central East

35. Key Largo
Go directly above the letter “T” in the word “Central” on the map. Go as far north as possible and you should see a road that looks like a question mark. Drive all the way up that road and you will see a farm/ranch. The Key Largo Golden Film Reel is on the porch of the shack, on the left hand side.

36. Leave Her To Heaven
Go directly above the letters “R” and “A” in the word “Central” on the map. Directly to the right of the question mark road that was used to get the Key Largo Golden Film Reel is a roundish intersection with no name. You are at the right spot if you see an old pool with a building. The water is brown and has garbage in it. Go to the right side of the building, around the fence, to find the Leave Her To Heaven Golden Film Reel on the ground in-between some bushes.

37. The Maltese Falcon
Go to Grand Ave, right on top of the area that says “AVE” on the map. You should appear next to a tall brown building with metal poles on the roof that look like they once held a billboard. Behind that building, in the dusty backyard, is The Maltese Falcon Golden Film Reel, next to a stack of bricks and a structure made of wood.

38. The Big Heat
Go to the corner of Hill St and 3rd St. On the west side of the intersection is the “Angels Flight” landmark. It is a train track that rides on a very steep hill. Go to the top of the hill and you will see a small train ticket building. In the back, by the guard rail, is The Big Heat Golden Film Reel.

39. Touch Of Evil
Go to the corner of 6th St and Broadway. On the southwest side of the street is the big theater. Get behind it by walking on the sidewalk on 6th St and turn back, to the left, on the first available alleyway. You should see a stairway. To the right of the steps is a golden pole. Climb the pole up to the roof, then go up the two sets of ladders. Once you are on the roof, go to the front of the theater to find the Touch Of Evil Golden Film Reel.

40. The Asphalt Jungle
Go to the corner of Los Angeles St and 6th St. On the southeast side of the intersection isa train station. Walk up to the train station and at the southeast end of the tracks, where two tracks meet each other, is The Asphalt Jungle Golden Film Reel.

41. Angles With Dirty Faces
Go to the intersection of 2nd St and Spring St. On the northwest side, you will see a building under construction. Go to the sidewalk and look for the ladder. Climb the ladder and walk on the catwalks to a small shack. Inside the shack on a wire-spool is the Angles With Dirty Faces Golden Film Reel.

42. Strangers Of A Train
Go to the intersection of Main St and 2nd St. On southeast side of the intersection, you should see a parking lot with a ticket booth next to it. Follow the skinny path near the ticket booth until you reach the stairs. Do not go down the stairs; instead, turn to the left to find the Strangers Of A Train Golden Film Reel on the ground.

43. Pickup On South Street
Go to Alameda St in front of the landmark. Make sure you go in front of it on the street and not on top of it, as that is further away. Go inside the building and go straight, but follow the right wall. On the right is a gift shop with the Pickup On South Street Golden Film Reel on the counter.

44. House Of Bamboo
Go to the corner of 1st St and Alameda St. Follow Alameda St south. On the left is a metal fence. At one point there is a “Do Not Enter” sign; break through the metal gateway. You should then be inside of a warehouse. Go up the stairs to the catwalk. On the right, under a big pipe, is the House Of Bamboo Golden Film Reel.

45. Scarlet Street
Go to the corner of Palmetto and Alameda St. Follow Palmetto St east until you get to the first alleyway on the right. Go down that alleyway and you should see a set of dumpsters next to a yellow metal guardrail. The Scarlet Street Golden Film Reel is on the ground.

46. Detour
Go to the intersection where Lawrence St meets Bay St. Right where the two roads meet to find a small train station. Go towards it and you will see train cars. In-between the two train cars is the Detour Golden Film Reel.

47. Gun Crazy
On the east-most side of 1st St, go to where the street meets the first and only 4-way intersection across the Los Angeles River. Once there, you should see a gas station. Behind the gas station is a water-tower and a trolley track that runs right around it. On the ground, under the water tower, is the Gun Crazy Golden Film Reel.

48. Body And Soul
Go to the intersection of 7th St and Santa Fe Ave, just before the bridge across the Los Angeles River. On the southeast side of the intersection is a parking lot. Go to that parking lot and follow that path all the way to a door underneath the bridge. Go in that door, up the stairs and into a big room filled with homeless people. On the right wall, looking over into the river, is the Body And Soul Golden Film Reel.

49. Double Indemnity
Go as far east/left as possible on 7th St, then go to the unnamed road that boarders the map of the game. Follow that unnamed road south until you can turn on to a military base. Turn in there, break through the gates and turn at the very first building on the left. Go behind that building and find the sidewalk. Walk on that sidewalk until reaching a firing range on the left. On one of the tables is the Double Indemnity Golden Film Reel.

50. Notorious
Go as far east/left as possible on Olympic Blvd, then go to the intersection where Olympic Blvd meets the unnamed road that borders the east end of the map of the game. Drive south on the unnamed road until you can turn left down a dirt path. You should see a big open warehouse. Enter the warehouse by going through the large open doors on either side of the building. Find the small office building inside the warehouse. On the ground in the office is the Notorious Golden Film Reel.

Gran Turismo has always been the benchmark for racing simulation games. Ever since the first game on the Playstation the game has always been about more cars, more tracks, more realistic driving action and more options for both the enthusiast, and the casual player. This increase of features also means that they have increased the amount of work for players getting into the series. In their latest offering, Gran Turismo 5, there are over one thousand cars, and over seventy tracks, which means the collector is going to have quite the uphill battle trying to get everything they want.

The increased level of ‘realism’ has also made it more difficult for casual players looking to unlock all the areas of the game. You have to pass license tests, you have to complete track circuits, and you have to both purchase, and race almost every type of car in order to see what the entire game has to offer. That can be difficult for someone that is not an expert driver, but just wants the opportunity to see the hot cars, and the incredibly detailed tracks available. A casual player could potentially miss whole chunks of available gameplay unless they get some kind of outside help to make sure they find the Easter eggs, the experience opportunities, and the ways to get decent enough money so they can afford the most expensive cars. Gran Turismo 5 is an excellent game, and if you want a track experience there are few, if any games that are a better opportunity, but every once in a while the frustration from some of the challenges is more than a player has the patience to tackle.

Easy money:
To easily gain money on any racing level in A-Spec mode, find a race with a championship circuit and get a fast car. If you are low level and have the concept car or any car above the hp shown in the requirements or a little less hp as long as you can drive, then you can perform this trick. Select “Championship” and race the first two races then exit. Repeat as desired. The higher level racing, the more money you will receive.

To easily gain money, reach level 11 in B-Spec, and then buy a Lupo Cup Car with a lot of horsepower. Then, have any B-Spec driver enter the Lupo GTI Cup. Because of the horsepower, your driver will easily win the race in twenty minutes. Note: You can set your alarm to 20 minutes, take a break, then return and do it again.

Formula GT car:
This car appears in the Used Car Dealership randomly. The cars available at the UCD are different each day of game time. A day passes when you complete a race or finish a license test. Speed up the process by loading a license test and advancing to the next test, without ever actually racing the test. When the load screen appears between tests, one day will have passed. Five game days are required to completely refresh the Used Car Dealership’s current stock, allowing another for the Formula GT car to appear.

Toyota Minolta 88-CV:
To win an extremely fast Toyota Minolta 88-cv, do the following. At level 21, you will unlock a race called “Like the Wind” in the expert hall. Obtain gold medals in both of these races to earn you a Toyota Minolta 88-CV. Follow these steps to take improve your car’s performance in order to earn the gold medals:

1. Purchase a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 ’09. You will need around $500,000 to upgrade this vehicle.

2. Go to GT Auto, and purchase the Racing Modification for the car.

3. At the tuning shop, purchase every high end modification available, including the supercharger. Get as much HP as possible.

Follow these steps at the race:

1. Fine-tune the setup by going to the car settings (the wrench icon) and tune your transmission to a top speed of 242. Set the car’s downforce (Body and Aero) to the highest possible number on the front and back.

2. The second race on Indy is the toughest, so complete it first. You will need to slipstream to keep up with the other racers. At the corners, cut inside to overtake your opponents. You will have to block the fast LM cars from taking your spot when you get ahead of them. Look backwards while driving in third person to keep an eye on them.

3. After winning the second race on Indy, complete the other one. This race is easier. Just don’t slam cars too hard, for your downforce is high and easy to upset.

“Like the Wind” race:
To win the race called “Like the Wind” at level 21 in extreme series for less money, get a Pagani Zonda R, which can be won by completing the B-Spec GT World Championship race in the Professional series. Get the car up to the maximum BHP and purchase Racing Soft tires. Fine tune the car before entering the race. Set the top speed to 242 under the trasmission settings and then set the downforce of the car to the top number for both front and back. Win the race to win an extremely fast Toyota Minolta.

Easy experience points:
To easily gain experience points, race the Forumla GT car in the Indianapolis race of the Dream car Championship. This race takes under seven minutes and will give you 9819 xp and 10800 credits.

Time-Saving Gear Shift (Automatic):
In Automatic Transmission mode, hold R2 to stay in the same gear. Use this to maintain speed through a corner or stretch a gear for slightly more speed and performance.

Without a doubt Portal 2 is a good game, but the necessity to convert a 4 hour game into a 10+ hour game is obvious as you play through this first person puzzler. Effectively the game is a series of test chambers broken into contrived connecting areas that require the player to use their newly learned skills to move on into the next set of test chambers. The puzzles are generally more simple then the first game, but effective, and the game propels itself entirely on the personality of the various characters. The inclusion of the multiplayer expands the puzzle elements, but if they hadn’t preserved the personality of the first Portal, this sequel would likely have fallen flat on it’s face.

Year 2553. The war between humans and the alien Covenant is drawing to a close. The spartans, a genetically enhanced group of super soldiers, have been all but eradicated, save for one. Spartan 117, the Master Chief. This is the setting in Halo 3, the 3^rd installment of Bungie’s famous Halo series. The player takes control of Master Chief for a final assault on the aliens threatening to destroy the universe. The gameplay style is very similar to the previous two titles, but it’s the new features that makes the game so much better than its predecessors.

Halo 3 includes 4-player co-op mode for playing through the campaign, whereas the previous installments only allowed two. The online Matchmaking mode is a massive improvement over the older games, with playlists of different games and all kinds of different variants, all available on the Xbox 360.

So, cheats. Well, you’re out of luck. There are no official cheats for Halo 3, and any kind of hack used online can get you banned. What we can tell you is there are a few tips for making competitive play a little easier.

1. Hover jump – When jumping, you can repeatedly press in the left thumbstick(normally how you crouch) to perform a sort of hover, making your airtime during jumps significantly longer.
2. Grenade jump – This one is a bit trickier. With a little luck and good timing, you can jump incredibly high by carefully placing a grenade below the area you’re jumping. Throw the grenade, time the detonation, and if done right, the grenade should propel you through the air.
3. Be invisible – You can completely disappear from enemy radar when you stop moving, right? Well you can also be invisible while moving—just do it slowly. By lightly pressing forward on the thumbstick and walking slowly, you can sneak up behind someone and they will never know.
4. Sword fighting – Having an energy sword standoff is a bit of a hassle. When you approach someone with a sword(provided you have one as well), after the reticule turns red, you can quickly hit the right trigger, and then the melee button(B button) in rapid recession to finish your opponent off.

While Halo 3 may not have any cheats, hopefully these tips will have you on your way to being an MLG in no time.

The 3^rd Street Saints were no big deal. A small rag-tag group of thugs with no real power or influence…that is, until you showed up. Beaten and left for dead, you play the unnamed protagonist whose face, body, and vocal features can be customized. Rise through the ranks in the Saints, and help them gain control of the city of Stilwater.

A bear and a bird go on an epic adventure to save Tooty, the kidnapped bear. I’m talking, of course, about Banjo Kazooie. In this fun and colorful Nintendo 64 game, the player follows the tale of Banjo the bear and Kazooie the bird as they go on a quest to save Banjo’s sister Tooty. Fly, peck, and fight your way through many great worlds to save the kidnapped Tooty from the cluthces of the evil witch Gruntilda.

This game is fun for kids, with it’s happy music and colorful worlds, but also for adults, with it’s violence and often adult-oriented jokes. Banjo Kazooie was an instant classic, as it offers many hours of fun gameply, and even more fun after beating it with cheats and hidden unlockables. Here are a few of those cheats. We have an article on the Nintendo 64 classic Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but now it’s time to tell you about it’s arguably just as epic sequel, Zelda: Majora’s Mask. In Majora’s Mask, the player once again follows Link through a journey of growth and self realization.

In this artfully created sequel, Link is “in search of a dear friend”, whom we all assume to be his fairy, Navi. The opening scene depicts Link riding through the forest on the back of his horse Epona when he is attacked by a masked skull kid and two fairies. The masked skull kid performs some sort of hex on Link, turning him into a deku scrub. The game is centered around Link saving the land of Termina from the moon, which is falling and threatens to destroy the land and it’s people.

While the gameplay is almost an exact replica of the OoT engine, the story is far different. The object is to collect masks, finally using them all to defeat the final boss. The puzzles and dungeons in this game are just as clever and challenging as in the prequel. For those looking for a little more fun, or if you just like to goof around, here are a few tips, tricks, and hacks for this game.

• Blast Mask No Damage – If you equip the blast mask and hold R, then press B, the blast mask doesn’t do any damage.
• Invisible Fairy Sword – If you equip the Great Fairy’s sword, then try to put it in a mailbox, the sword will become invisible.
• Slow Down Time – By playing the Song of Time backwards, time will slow down while you can still move at normal speed. The song is C-down, A, C-right, C-down, A, C-right.
• Move Forward 12 hours – When you play the Song of Time in double notes, you will jump forward in time by 12 hours. The song is C-right, C-right, A, A, C-down, C-down.
• Hide From Enemies – The stone mask has the secret ability of hiding you to most enemies. Bosses will still see you, but normal baddies will just pass you by.
• Fierce Deity Mask – If you collect all 23 masks in the game and complete the mini-games while inside the moon, you will receive the Fierce Deity Mask, which transforms Link into Oni Link.

When Bowser Koopa, the tyrannical turtle with a score to settle, kidnaps Princess Peach, who’s going to anything about it? An overall and red hat adorned plumber, of course! In Super Mario 64, Mario is once again on a quest to save the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. In this colorful installment of the Mario series, Bowser has stolen all the Power Stars and has trapped Princess Peach inside her castle. Mario must fight across 15 worlds, all hidden in paintings, to save his beloved princess. This 3D platformer for the Nintendo 64 helped pave the way for 3D gaming.

Playing through the game isn’t all that hard, but it does take time. The game itself is fun to play through, and once you’ve defeated Bowser after finding all 120 Power Stars, the developers left a little present. After getting the 120 stars, a cannon opens up in the castle courtyard. The cannon can be used to shoot onto the roof, where Yoshi the lovable dinosaur is waiting to give you 99 lives and a new triple jump. Also on the roof is a Flying Cap crate, which you can use to fly around the courtyard, moat, and rooftop with.

1. Zeus’ Eagle – (infinite rage of sparta): In the first level while outside Gaia’s heart, before grabbing the movable wall and pulling it to the other side, climb to the top of the right wall to find.

2. Hades’ Helm (maximum health, magic, and item meters): After killing Hades and jumping into the River Styx, swim down and back (against the current) to find Hades’ Helm at the bottom of the river.

3. Helios’ Shield (triple the Hits counter): It is located to the right of where you kill Helios.

4. Hermes’ Coin (collect ten times the amount of Red Orbs): It is located behind the rubble while chasing Hermes. Pick it up after killing Hermes.

5. Hercules’ Shoulder Guard (decrease damage taken by 33%): After killing Hercules and finding him floating in the water, swim beneath him to find his Shoulder Guard.

6. Poseidon’s Conch Shell (infinite magic): It is located in the chamber where you rescue Poseidon’s princess.

7. Aphrodite’s Garter (continue to use Athena’s Blades): When you reach Aphrodite’s chamber, go to the left of her bed, then double jump and glide behind it using Icarus Wings to find Aphrodite’s Garter.

8. Hephaestus’ Ring (automatically win all context sensitive attacks): After you kill Hephaestus, it is located on his left by the pool of water.

9. Daedalus’s Schematics (infinite item meter): It is located in the room with several warpholes after a puzzle solving sequence.

10. Hera’s Chalice (health meter slowly drains over time, but never completely empties): It is located to the left of where Hera falls in the garden.
